Short review on DH's Hurricane's and camwhoring 101

Short review on Hurricane's at Darling Harbour because I think that it has been blogged to death.

Every time someone I know comes over to Sydney, I'll feel obliged to take them there. Not just because it's a Sydney institution (please don't go the way of Laduree and open a branch elsewhere please!!!), really, but also because I love their pork ribs very much. :)

My two dinner companions this time were close uni mate May Lee and her boyfriend Ming. Between the three of us, we shared an entree of scallops...

Not as juicy as I would have liked but still tasty nonetheless.

Ordered the char grilled chicken salad as well, to offset all the sinfulness maybe? Lol.

As far as salads go, this was a pretty solid dish, not to mention generously served. Besides making you feel like you have a halo over your head while eating it, that is haha! On a serious note though, all the ingredients went well together and there was sufficient dressing to go around. The chicken was quite moist and tender too!

And finally, the main star of the night...

Full rack of pork ribs with chips! If this isn't food porn, I don't know what is. So damn juicy and more-ish! The sweet, sticky basting sauce just about worked hand-in-hand with the meat to bring us all to a literal food-gasm. The chips were also, as usual, very good and addictive!

Thumbs-up of approval!

Service was polite throughout and despite the hectic, full house situation, our foods arrived at our table within an acceptable waiting time frame; less than 15 minutes.

Right. You can stop reading now if you're only here for the food review because... drum roll please... IT'S CAMWHORING 101!

1. Make your intention known to your friend so that they come prepared with makeup. You do not want to end up begging her to do it.

2. What might seem like harsh lighting at first can end up being conducive to the session. Just move around until it cast a more flattering light.

3. Everyone can take a good picture with the front-facing camera. Find your best angles!

4. When all else fails, do the duck face. Why? Better to deliberately look ugly than just plain look ugly. Lol.

=D Had fun with my babe! See you back in KL soon!

Lastly, my FOTD (that stands for "face of the day"). Do excuse the half-dried hair.

Eyebrows: Lioele Artist Auto eyebrow pencil in #3 grey
